Dolls Magazine Award of Excellence Nominees:
2001 - Denara . . . 2002 - Callie . . . 2003 - Jilly . . . 2004 - Hydrangea Flower 2005 - Sophia!  WOW!

(From Tawny...) "Each "child" begins with an idea, a piece of clay, and a scrap of fabric. Suddenly, the idea takes on a life of its own, and magically evolves into a beautiful doll!

Quality and affordability are my goals. When I design my "children," I strive to create lifelike dolls that are wonderful to hold. From their meticulous, hand-painted faces to their accentuating laces, buttons, and embroidery, each doll is an exceptional work of art.

My dolls are unique collectibles; designed and handmade to emphasize their distinctive personalities. A dyed, interlock contton knit is stretched and smoothed over their porcelain faces and shoulder plates. The fabric's own striations produce an appearance of human skin and soften the look of the doll, creating a life-like quality. Their faces are meticulously hand-painted, giving them both expression as well as emotion, and further developing the individuality of each doll as a unique one-of-a-kind creation, in and of itself. Their bodies are soft-sculpted cloth, complete with teddy bear joints at the shoulders and hips and armatures in their arms and legs. This attention to detail produces a completely articulated doll; easy and fun to pose for use in a variety of vignettes. I also individually design and tailor their clothing to compliment their distinctive personalities."
