Rose Marie Strydom Dolls

Rose Marie Strydom was born and raised in sunny, beautiful South Africa. As a small child she always enjoyed creating with her hands and found herself involved in all sorts of crafts.

As her children started growing up, Rose Marie found she had time on her hands and started pottery as a hobby. She found she needed more of a challenge and turned to porcelain and began making dolls. This was in 1989.

Right from the beginning Rose Marie knew this was what she wanted to do and her passion for dolls has become her life’s work. Being entirely self taught, she has been able to develop her own unique style, creating realistic character faces and paying special attention to every detail, right down to the finely sculpted fingernails.

Rose Marie’s dolls have proved to be very popular and can be found in collections all over the world.  At Art and Home, we are extremely proud to represent Rose Marie's investment-grade sculpture.
