Southeast Pennsylvania near Philadelphia is Bev's home where Bev White has designed and made Teddy Bears since 1984.
Bev is a nurse by profession, but chose to lay it aside in 1984 and to begin a doll business called HAPPY TYMES COLLECTIBLES. Bev has developed bear designs for Cooperstown Bears since 1995, and has also created designs for Franklin Mint, Little Gems and the Annette Funicello Bear Company. While many of Bev's creations live in museums around the world, the most intensive and challanging artworks of the Portrait Bear variety, were created for the Jeju Teddy Bear Museum which opened in Korea last year.
Through the years Beverly has been privileged to have been nominated for numerous trade show and magazine awards. Golden Teddy'sTM were won by Bev in 1993, 1994, and 1995, and Toby'sTM in 1992 and 1998. International awards include the Teteshina Museum Award in Japan and the Der Goldene George in Germany.
Bevs beautiful bears have slowly stretched their fuzzy paws around the globe, touching the lives of many people. Her teddy bears are a nostalgic expression of who she is, a furry collage of her life experiences, her emotions and perceptions, my creativity and energy. Bev takes great joy in knowing that this work of her hands can bring a sense of wonder and happiness into the lives of others.
